How to Get Photographs Unstuck From Each Other
- fill a large bowl of water up with cold water.
-
Step 2
Put the pictures that are stuck to one another in the bowl of water and let the pictures sit for two minutes.
-
Step 3
Put your hands in the bowl of water, grab the pictures by the corners, and gently try to pull the pictures apart. If the pictures do not pull apart easily, do not force them. Instead, let the pictures remain in the water for a longer period of time and try again later. The pictures may need to sit in the water overnight before they will easily pull apart.
-
Step 4
Remove the pictures from the water once you have separated them. Only touch the pictures on the corners. Place the pictures, image side up, on top of a counter to dry. Make sure that the pictures are not touching one another or any other piece of paper while they are drying. Allow the pictures to sit, untouched, until they are fully dry.
-
Step 5
Flatten the pictures. The dry pictures will be curved instead of flat. To flatten them, place them inside of a large heavy book, and leave them there overnight. The weight of the book will flatten the pictures.
Now we have saved those precious memories.
